  I have 2007. Went to do what you said for the calendars. Didn't work at first but there is a box to check to make all calendars the same color. Tried once, no change, tried pink, it all changed, tried blue, it all changed. Now I'm happy.

  I know this is a response to an old post, but @WordPefect Refugee, you are wrong. Method B works for Outlook 2013. I just did it. I suspect several of the other methods would work as well as they are other ways to see the same settings. I know MS Products have their shortcomings, but please tell me of one, just one app, that doesn't have a shortcoming. I am willing to bet you can't.

  your instructions for changing calendar colors in Outlook 2013 do not work. Both when using the right-click and 'color feature' methods. I want to change the background color. All that happens it the lowermost calendar 'item' on the changes color, not the background. I HATE MICROSOFT PRODUCTS. OUTLOOK MAY BE EVEN WORSE THAN M$ WORD.
